Turkish breakfast or Kahvaltı consists of olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, honey with kaymak (clotted cream) or butter, jam, egg (soft boiled my husbands favorite), black tea (sugar cubes) and bread.
Lots of fresh bread to slather all these yummy things onto. It's a bit like another utensil really.
We are extra lucky because pide is here. Bubbly sesame seed topped deliciousness that is only around during Ramazan (Ramadan or the month long fast in the Muslim culture).
After breakfast I played with my girls. Crowns of jasmine and bougainvillea.
My babies are getting big. Good morning picture of my biggest bigs.
Trying to stay focused on the present. Always a hard thing for me.
I have come full circle literally and figuratively with my expat emotions if you will. I am not trying to recreate what I had in my childhood. I am no longer yearning to be anywhere else then present.
More on these thoughts later. Small people have awoken...xo
